Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Grant Writer to join our team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our mission by crafting compelling grant proposals that align with our organization's goals and secure funding for vital community initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a flair for storytelling, strong research skills, and a deep understanding of grant writing processes.

Responsibilities

• Draft compelling narratives and project descriptions for proposals.
• Analyze data and trends to inform proposal development.
• Coordinate with finance teams to prepare accurate budgets for proposals.
• Ensure that all grant proposals reflect the organization’s goals and compliance standards.
• Evaluate and assess past grant applications to improve future submissions.
• Present proposals and funding needs to stakeholders and board members.
• Stay updated on changes in grant regulations and funding sources.
• Provide post-award support to ensure successful implementation of funded projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or a related field
• Master's degree or relevant certification is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in grant writing or related fields
