Job Description

We are seeking an experienced IP Litigation Specialist to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will have a strong background in intellectual property law and a passion for advocating for clients' rights. You will be responsible for managing litigation cases related to trademarks, patents, and copyrights, ensuring thorough preparation and representation in court.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and execution of IP litigation cases.
• Analyze complex legal documents and provide strategic insights.
• Conduct depositions and witness examinations.
• Work closely with paralegals and legal assistants to ensure case preparedness.
• Engage in settlement discussions to resolve disputes amicably.
• Draft and review legal briefs and correspondence.
• Attend hearings and trials, representing clients' interests vigorously.
• Maintain detailed case files and documentation.
• Participate in networking events to enhance firm visibility.
• Provide training and support in best practices for IP law.

Requirements

Education

• LLB or equivalent law degree
• Postgraduate diploma in IP law is an advantage

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in IP litigation

Certifications

• Admitted as an attorney in South Africa
