Mining Engineer

Job Description

As a Mining Engineer with us, you will be pivotal in developing and overseeing mining projects that ensure both efficiency and safety. You will leverage your technical expertise to optimise our operations while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and development of mining projects.
• Analyze and interpret geological data to inform mining strategies.
• Implement innovative mining techniques to enhance productivity.
• Work collaboratively with cross-disciplinary teams.
• Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
• Conduct training sessions on new mining practices and technologies.
• Evaluate and report on the success of mining operations.
• Ensure all operations adhere to statutory regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Geosciences
• Master's or other advanced degrees are a plus

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in mining operations and engineering

Technical Skills

• Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
• Environmental Management

Soft Skills

• Analytical Thinking
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Professional Engineer (PrEng) registration

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with data analysis and mining simulation tools: Expertise in using data analysis tools for improving mining operations.
• Project experience in international mining projects: Experience working in diverse and international mining environments.
