Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Legal Advisor to join our Cape Town team. The ideal candidate will provide sound legal advice, manage legal compliance, and assist in contract negotiations. Your expertise will play a crucial role in safeguarding our clients’ interests and ensuring that the firm operates within the law.

Responsibilities

• Review corporate policies and ensure they are in line with legal requirements.
• Develop training materials on legal compliance for staff.
• Participate in legal negotiations on behalf of clients.
• Monitor changes in legislation that may impact the firm.
• Support corporate governance practices and compliance efforts.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent
• Postgraduate qualification is an advantage

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in legal advisory roles

Technical Skills

• Legal Research
• Contract Negotiation

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Analytical Thinking

Certifications

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court
• Specialization in Corporate Law is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Proficient
