Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team in Bloemfontein. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and overseeing construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all stages of construction from design through to completion.
• Ensure that all engineering work is performed in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Evaluate and recommend construction materials and resources.
• Provide technical support to junior engineers and staff.
• Collaborate with government bodies for project approvals and inspections.
• Administer project contracts and maintain strong relationships with contractors.
• Develop project schedules and monitor progress against set timelines.
• Prepare cost estimates and manage project budgets effectively.
• Conduct post-project evaluations and report on outcomes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years in civil engineering project management

• AutoCAD
• Civil 3D
• SAP2000
