Job Description

As an Actuarial Analyst based in Johannesburg, you will work collaboratively with various teams, performing complex analyses and developing models that assist in strategic financial planning. The position requires analytical skills and a keen interest in data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large datasets to derive actionable insights.
• Develop actuarial models that support strategic decision-making.
• Contribute to cross-departmental projects to align actuarial practices with business objectives.
• Document findings and present them in clear, concise formats for stakeholders.
• Aid in compliance efforts relating to actuarial standards and practices.
• Mentor junior analysts and interns, providing guidance on best practices.
• Participate actively in team meetings to discuss project progress and challenges.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Actuarial Science or related field is preferred
• Actuarial exams completed up to associate level

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a related role within the financial services industry
