Clinical Researcher

Job Description

We are seeking a Clinical Researcher to join our Port Elizabeth team, responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing clinical trials. You'll work closely with medical professionals to collect and analyze data that contributes to medical advancements. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in clinical research methodologies, regulatory compliance, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and select clinical study sites based on feasibility.
• Develop study protocols and informed consent documents.
• Conduct site visits to ensure protocol compliance.
• Maintain relationships with investigators and healthcare partners.
• Implement strategies to improve patient recruitment and retention.
• Monitor adverse events and ensure patient safety throughout the trial.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Medicine, Life Sciences, or related field
• Master's degree in Clinical Research preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in clinical research or trials management

Technical Skills

• Statistical Software
• Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS)

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Problem-Solving

Certifications

• Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC)
• Ethics Training Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience working with institutional review boards: Knowledge of IRB submission processes and requirements.
