Legal Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Legal Consultant in Cape Town to provide expert legal advice and guidance. This role requires a strong understanding of corporate law and the ability to navigate complex legal landscapes.

Responsibilities

• Advise on regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and risk management.
• Prepare and review various legal documents including contracts and policies.
• Engage with external legal counsel as needed.
• Conduct legal research and provide recommendations based on findings.
• Support dispute resolution efforts through mediation and arbitration.
• Participate in strategic planning to align legal practices with business goals.
• Generate reports on legal matters for senior management.
• Monitor legal trends that may impact the organization.
• Facilitate training sessions on legal compliance for staff.
• Assist with mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Law or related field
• Master's degree in Law is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant legal experience

Languages
