Job Description

As a Veterinary Surgeon at our East London clinic, you will play a vital role in promoting animal welfare through high-quality veterinary services. We are looking for someone with a collaborative spirit and strong problem-solving skills to thrive in our fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health.
  • Diagnose and treat animal health issues, including performing surgeries and administering medications.
  • Provide preventative care and education to pet owners about health and wellness.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans.
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pet's condition and treatment options.
  • Collaborate with veterinary technicians to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in continuing education to stay updated on veterinary practices and technologies.
  • Assist in managing the clinic's operations and maintaining inventory supplies.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent
  • Registration with the South African Veterinary Council
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in veterinary practice
