Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Corporate Lawyer to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions, compliance, and commercial contracts. You will provide legal advice to a diverse client base and work collaboratively with other legal professionals.

Responsibilities

• Lead legal due diligence for corporate transactions.
• Advise clients on risk management and mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on complex transactions.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of all legal documents.
• Maintain strong professional relationships with clients.
• Participate in drafting policies and procedures for legal compliance.
• Engage with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and authorities.
• Prepare briefs for court appearances and arbitration processes.

Requirements

Education

• LLB or equivalent law degree
• Admitted attorney with the Legal Practice Council of South Africa

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in corporate law or related field
