Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Chemical Laboratory Technician to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various chemical laboratory tests, analyses, and experiments to support our research and development efforts. A strong attention to detail and experience in a laboratory setting are essential.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute experiments to develop new chemical processes.
• Analyze data and provide insights to the lab manager.
• Maintain records of all tests and experiments conducted.
• Ensure the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives.
• Engage in team meetings to discuss progress and challenges.
• Prepare and present findings during team briefings.
• Work towards continuous improvement in laboratory services.
• Support the development of new lab technologies.
• Mentor junior technicians and assist with training.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
• Postgraduate qualifications will be advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of relevant experience in laboratory work.
