Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Milling and Planing Machine Setter, Operator, and Tender to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have expertise in setting up and operating thread milling machines to produce precision parts while ensuring optimal machine performance and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate machines and mill parts to precise dimensions.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks and repairs on equipment.
• Work closely with the quality assurance team to resolve production discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of production logs and machine settings.
• Assist in the development of machining processes for new products.
• Monitor machine operations and report abnormalities to supervisors.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• N3 Mechanical Engineering or similar qualification is a plus

Experience

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting

Technical Skills

• Thread Grinding Machines
• Basic CAD Skills

Soft Skills

• Problem Solving
• Teamwork

Certifications

• ISO Quality Management Training
• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic
