Job Description

We are looking for a qualified Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal health and a strong commitment to providing exceptional medical care to a variety of animals. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of conditions, performing surgeries, and advising pet owners on the best care practices.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat various animal medical conditions and diseases.
  • Conduct routine surgeries and emergency procedures.
  • Provide rehabilitative care and pain management.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for animals.
  • Educate clients on health care plans for their pets.
  • Conduct follow-ups on patients and maintain medical records.
  • Work closely with a team of veterinary professionals.
  • Engage in research and development initiatives within the clinic.
  • Participate in community education on animal health issues.
  • Assist in the training of junior team members.

Requirements

Education
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
  • Postgraduate qualification in veterinary surgery preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years in veterinary practice with surgical experience
