Job Description

As a Home Health Aide, you will play a crucial role in supporting patients with daily living activities. You will be responsible for providing personal care, companionship, and assistance with household tasks, while building meaningful relationships with those you serve.

Responsibilities

• Support clients in their day-to-day activities, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Provide compassionate companionship and engage in meaningful conversations.
• Help with meal planning and grocery shopping.
• Document and report health changes and updates to the nursing staff.
• Assist with household chores like laundry and cleaning.
• Encourage clients to maintain independence while providing necessary support.
• Facilitate communication between clients and family members.
• Participate in ongoing training to improve caregiving skills.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Home Health Aide certification or relevant training

Experience

• At least 1 year of experience in a home health or caregiving role

Technical Skills

• Patient care techniques
• First Aid and CPR

Languages

• Afrikaans: Fluent
• English: Fluent
