Job Description

We are seeking a talented Architect to join our Johannesburg office. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design, excellent technical skills, and experience in delivering innovative architectural solutions. You will be responsible for managing projects from conceptual design through to completion, collaborating with clients and teams to realize their vision.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive architectural plans considering both functionality and aesthetics.
• Coordinate with local authorities for needed permits and approvals.
• Engage with clients throughout the project to align design iterations.
• Lead presentations of designs to clients, addressing feedback effectively.
• Stay current with industry trends and innovations to incorporate into designs.
• Ensure accurate project budgeting and timeline adherence.
• Conduct post-occupancy evaluations and gather client feedback for continuous improvement.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or relevant field
• Master's degree is highly desirable

Experience

• 5+ years in design and construction management

Technical Skills

• SketchUp
• Project Management Software

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Attention to Detail

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• RICS Qualified

Languages

• English: Fluent
• isiZulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations: Knowledge of Johannesburg building codes and regulations for compliance.
• Experience leading design charrettes: Ability to engage stakeholders in collaborative design discussions.
