Double Reamer Operator

Job Description

The Double Reamer Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining drilling equipment used in the oil and gas industry. This includes operating two reaming tools simultaneously during drilling operations to ensure optimal drilling efficiency and accuracy, while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain double reamer equipment to drill and ream boreholes according to project specifications.
• Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance on drilling equipment.
• Keep accurate records of drilling activities and equipment maintenance.
• Coordinate with team members for efficient project execution.
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues and implementing solutions.
• Implement safety measures and ensure all team members adhere to protocol.
• Train junior operators on the use and maintenance of drilling equipment.
• Support the Site Manager with operational reporting and improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical diploma or certification in drilling operations or related field

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Double Reamer Operator or similar role

Technical Skills

• Valid driver’s license
• Knowledge of drilling procedures

Soft Skills

• Flexibility and adaptability
• Time management skills

Certifications

• Certification in drilling equipment maintenance and repair

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience operating drilling equipment in challenging environments: Experience in adverse conditions is a plus.
• Certification in drilling equipment maintenance and repair: A significant advantage for successful applicants.
