Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Public Health Officer to join our team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will spearhead public health initiatives, promote community health education, and engage in disease prevention strategies. You will work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to ensure effective health interventions.

Responsibilities

• Implement health intervention strategies based on community needs.
• Conduct surveys to gather health-related information.
• Manage and monitor health budgets assigned to projects.
• Represent the organization at health conferences and meetings.
• Work with NGOs to enhance community health initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related field
• Master's degree in Public Health or related field is preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in public health or related roles

Technical Skills

• Epidemiology
• Health Promotion

• Analytical Thinking

Certifications

• Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic
