Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations of patients to assess health status.
• Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions.
• Prescribe medications, therapies, and other treatment modalities.
• Plan and implement comprehensive patient care plans.
• Educate patients about healthy lifestyle choices.
• Collaborate with specialists and healthcare team members.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare policies and regulations.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development.
• Provide compassionate care and support to patients and families.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent medical degree
• Postgraduate qualifications in Family Medicine are an advantage

Experience

• 4+ years of clinical experience in general practice or family medicine

Certifications

• Certified by the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
