Preschool Teacher

Job Description

We seek a passionate Preschool Teacher to join our team in nurturing and educating infants. In this role, you will create a safe and stimulating environment that fosters physical, emotional, and cognitive development.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct engaging lesson plans tailored to the developmental stages of infants.
• Observe and assess children's interactions and skill development as part of ongoing evaluation.
• Foster a nurturing environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
• Maintain open and ongoing communication with parents regarding their child's progress.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure a holistic approach to education.
• Oversee cleanliness and safety of the classroom and play areas.
• Facilitate workshops or parent engagement activities to enhance community involvement.
• Support the emotional and social development of children through positive reinforcement.
• Document and report any concerns regarding children's behavior or development.
• Participate actively in community outreach programs to promote the preschool.

Requirements

Education

• National Certificate in Early Childhood Development (NQF Level 4)
• Higher qualification in Early Childhood Education is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in preschool education, specifically with infants.
