Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Civil Engineer with a passion for infrastructure development to join our team in East London. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing and overseeing construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
• Evaluate environmental impact assessments for proposed projects.
• Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Provide expertise on materials and construction methods.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and interns.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in civil engineering and project management

Technical Skills

• Civil 3D
• Geotechnical Engineering

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Chartered Engineer (CEng)
• LEED Accredited Professional

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with BIM software: Ability to use Building Information Modeling software for project design.
