Job Description

We are in search of a passionate Public Health Practitioner to spearhead various health initiatives and programs aimed at improving community health in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of public health principles and possess the skills to work collaboratively with community stakeholders to enhance health outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct epidemiological studies to assess health trends.
  • Coordinate health resources and leverage community assets.
  • Engage with governmental and non-governmental health agencies.
  • Create strategic health plans focusing on preventative care.
  • Utilize data management systems to track health outcomes effectively.
  • Generate community health reports for stakeholders and funding entities.
  • Encourage the use of technology in public health initiatives.
  • Build public health capacity through training and support.
  • Facilitate focus groups to gather community feedback on health services.
  • Ensure compliance with health regulations and standards.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Public Health or related field
  • Doctorate is a plus
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in public health interventions
