Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our Cape Town team. In this role, you will be pivotal in designing and supervising construction projects, ensuring they meet safety regulations and standards. You will be collaborating with architects, construction teams, and clients to deliver innovative engineering solutions that adhere to timelines and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Develop structural designs and plans to meet project specifications.
• Analyse load requirements and structural integrity.
• Liaise with contractors and subcontractors to ensure work is completed as per specifications.
• Ensure all designs comply with local regulations and standards.
• Review project budgets and adjust plans as necessary.
• Prepare reports and documentation for stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in structural engineering

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Structural Analysis Software

Soft Skills

• Communication Skills
• Problem-solving Skills

Certifications

• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng)
• Certified Engineering Technician (CET)

Languages

• English: Fluent
