Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

As a Mechanical Engineer at our Port Elizabeth office, you will play a critical role in the design and development of mechanical systems. Your expertise will be utilized to ensure that our products meet industry standards and client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design projects from concept through to production.
• Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions.
• Participate in regular team meetings and project updates.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technologies.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns to foster skill development.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred

Experience

• 5 years in a mechanical engineering role with project leadership experience

Technical Skills

• 3D Modeling Software
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Soft Skills

• Leadership

Certifications

• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor
• Lean Six Sigma Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in CAM Software: Knowledge of computer-aided manufacturing processes.
