Job Description

As a Mobile Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of various construction machinery, including bulldozers, excavators, and cranes. Your expertise will ensure that our fleet operates safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Utilize diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot equipment.
• Train and mentor junior team members on best practices.
• Keep up to date with industry trends and new technologies.
• Work closely with the safety team to implement hazard analysis.
• Participate in emergency repairs when necessary.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Trade certificate in mechanical fitting or diesel mechanics preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years’ experience in equipment maintenance or mechanical repairs

Technical Skills

• Electrical Systems Knowledge
• Hydraulic Systems Experience

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Time Management

Certifications

• Safety Training Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with computer diagnostics: Ability to use software for troubleshooting equipment issues.
