We are on the lookout for a dedicated Travel Consultant based in Cape Town to join our vibrant team. As a Travel Consultant, you will be instrumental in designing and planning trips tailored to our clients' needs, ensuring a memorable travel experience from start to finish. Strong communication skills and a passion for travel are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in planning travel experiences that meet their needs.
• Research and recommend destination options for clients.
• Handle client inquiries through phone, email, and face-to-face meetings.
• Ensure that travel arrangements comply with legal and safety standards.
• Create and maintain comprehensive travel documentation.
• Prospect for new clients through referrals and marketing efforts.
• Oversee post-travel evaluations to improve services and offerings.
• Adapt travel itineraries based on changing client circumstances or requests.

Requirements

Education

• Higher Certificate in Travel and Tourism
• Previous experience in corporate travel management is an advantage.

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in travel consultancy.

Technical Skills

• GDS Systems Experience
• Itinerary Planning

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Sales Skills

Certifications

• Certified Travel Associate (CTA)
• Destination Specialist Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience with luxury travel: Proficiency in catering to high-end clientele and luxury travel arrangements.
• Knowledge of travel regulations: Up-to-date knowledge of travel laws and regulations, especially regarding Covid-19.
