Quality Assurance Analyst

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Quality Assurance Analyst in Cape Town to ensure our software products are delivered at the best quality. You will be responsible for the design and execution of test plans, identifying bugs, and working with the development team to resolve issues. A strong understanding of test automation tools and methodologies will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain automated test scripts.
• Identify areas for automation to increase testing efficiency.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure quality requirements are met.
• Provide input for release decision-making based on testing outcomes.
• Participate in troubleshooting sessions for defects.
• Keep up to date with industry best practices in QA.
• Engage with customers for user acceptance testing.
• Conduct root cause analysis for identified defects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
• Master's degree in Computer Science is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of QA experience with a focus on automation

Technical Skills

• API Testing
• Performance Testing

Soft Skills

• Effective Communication
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Certified Agile Tester (CAT)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in mobile testing: Familiarity with testing mobile applications and understanding of mobile platforms.
• Experience with cloud technologies: Knowledge of cloud services and their impact on software deployment.
