Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Fleet Safety Advisor to join our Pretoria team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in fleet safety protocols and compliance regulations, ensuring that our operations meet industry standards regarding vehicle safety and driver performance. You will work closely with operational teams to develop strategies that mitigate risk and promote a safety-first culture.

Responsibilities

• Establish and oversee the execution of fleet safety programs.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate safety into operations.
• Assess and report on driver performance through safety metrics.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions on fleet safety protocols.
• Compile and maintain records of safety inspections and audits.
• Provide expert advice on safety legislation and compliance requirements.
• Develop action plans for continuous improvement in fleet safety.
• Engage with fleet personnel to foster a safety-driven environment.
• Coordinate with emergency services in case of accidents to ensure appropriate responses.
• Prepare safety performance reports for management review.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transport Management, or a relevant field
• Postgraduate qualification in Safety Management advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in managing fleet safety processes

Technical Skills

• Vehicle maintenance knowledge
• Data analysis skills

Certifications

• ISO 39001 Certification (Road Traffic Safety)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic
