Responsibilities
Conduct initial patient evaluations and capture vital health information.
Perform standard eye examinations and tests.
Assist the ophthalmologist in minor surgical procedures.
Provide compassionate patient support throughout their treatment journey.
Monitor and maintain medical instruments and devices.
Prepare examination rooms and ensure patient comfort.
Provide assistance during consultations and follow-up appointments.
Aid in data collection for clinical research and audits.
Stay informed on the latest ophthalmological equipment and technologies.
Requirements
Education
Completion of an accredited Ophthalmic Assistant program or related training
Certification as an Ophthalmic Technician preferred
Experience
2+ years of experience in an Ophthalmology setting
