Job Description

As an Ophthalmic Medical Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our ophthalmologists with patient care and administrative duties. You will assist in eye exams, surgical procedures, and maintain a comfortable environment for patients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial patient evaluations and capture vital health information.
• Perform standard eye examinations and tests.
• Assist the ophthalmologist in minor surgical procedures.
• Provide compassionate patient support throughout their treatment journey.
• Monitor and maintain medical instruments and devices.
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure patient comfort.
• Provide assistance during consultations and follow-up appointments.
• Aid in data collection for clinical research and audits.
• Stay informed on the latest ophthalmological equipment and technologies.

Requirements

Education

• Completion of an accredited Ophthalmic Assistant program or related training
• Certification as an Ophthalmic Technician preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in an Ophthalmology setting
