Tax Consultant

Job Description

We are searching for a knowledgeable Tax Consultant to join our Pretoria office. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of South African tax legislation and be able to provide strategic advice to our clients. As a Tax Consultant, you will be responsible for preparing tax returns, advising on compliance matters, and developing tax strategies that consider clients' overall financial objectives.

Responsibilities

• Review financial records and transactions to ensure tax compliance.
• Advise clients on the tax implications of various business decisions.
• Prepare documentation for tax audits and represent clients before SARS.
• Identify and research tax legislation changes that affect clients.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align tax planning with overall business strategy.
• Prepare and deliver presentations on tax issues to clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure timely filing of all tax returns and compliance reports.
• Support clients in financial planning to manage their tax liabilities effectively.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or Finance
• Master's degree or other higher qualification is advantageous

Experience

• 4+ years in a tax consulting environment
