Tool Technician (Tool Grinders, Filers, and Sharpeners)

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Tool Technician where you will maintain, service, and repair a range of tools critical for our manufacturing operations. Your role will directly impact our efficiency and product quality.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and assess tools and equipment for functionality.
• Lead safety training and maintain a safe working environment.
• Implement a preventive maintenance program to enhance tool lifespan.
• Develop effective repair strategies to minimize production interruption.
• Utilize CAD software for design and planning of tool repairs.
• Maintain inventory of tools and parts required for repairs.
• Stay updated on new tool technologies and integrate innovations where applicable.

Requirements

Education

• Technical diploma in engineering or related field
• Certifications in hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

Technical Skills

• Experience with CNC machines
• Hydraulic and pneumatic system knowledge

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving skills
• Teamwork and collaboration

Certifications

• Certification in Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Strong understanding of maintenance scheduling: Experience in implementing and adhering to scheduled maintenance plans.
