Public Health Officer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a dedicated Public Health Officer to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing and implementing health promotion programs, conducting health assessments, and collaborating with stakeholders to address community health issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead community outreach initiatives focused on health promotion.
• Assess and analyze public health data to inform program decisions.
• Foster partnerships with educational institutions for health education.
• Coordinate vaccination drives and preventive health screenings.
• Advise government officials on health-related policies.
• Respond to public health emergencies and facilitate management.
• Engage with local media to raise awareness on health issues.
• Support health research projects and grant applications.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in public health or community health roles
