Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join our legal team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice, drafting contracts, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws. This role requires someone with a strong background in corporate law and a passion for legal excellence.

Responsibilities

• Support corporate transactions with legal expertise.
• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements.
• Represent the firm in regulatory investigations.
• Conduct training for employees on legal compliance.
• Review and amend company compliances and policies.
• Develop risk assessment protocols.
• Provide timely legal advice on projects and initiatives.
• Analyze legal risks and offer solutions.
• Participate in strategic planning for legal initiatives.
• Facilitate communication between departments on legal matters.

Requirements

Education

• LLB or equivalent legal qualification
• Master's in Law is an advantage

Experience

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant legal experience
