Job Description

Join our legal team as a Legal Counsel where your expertise will help navigate complex legal challenges. You will be involved in contract negotiations, risk assessments, and dispute resolutions, ensuring that the firm’s interests are well-protected.

Responsibilities

• Advise management on legal strategies and risk mitigation.
• Draft pleadings and represent clients in court as necessary.
• Conduct training for staff on legal compliance issues.
• Monitor changes in legislation affecting the business.
• Collaborate with internal departments to address legal issues.
• Research legal precedents and relevant laws.
• Negotiate settlements and evaluate cases.
• Prepare legal documents for court proceedings.
• Engage in litigation and legal proceedings for the firm.
• Support internal clients in legal matters and concern resolutions.

Requirements

Education

• LLB or equivalent qualification
• Admitted Attorney or Advocate

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in legal practice, preferably in corporate law

Certifications

• Certificate in Legal Practice
• Membership in the Law Society

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Intermediate
