Job Description

As a Locomotive Engineer, you will be responsible for operating trains while ensuring a safe and efficient journey. You will also manage train systems, address passenger needs, and maintain high service standards.

Responsibilities

• Train crew members on safety practices and operational procedures.
• Assist in the development of standard operating procedures.
• Engage in regular safety audits and inspections.

Requirements

Education

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent
• Valid train driver's license or certificate

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in train operations or a related field.

• Knowledge of train systems
• Physical fitness

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure

Certifications

• Train Operations Certification
• First Aid/CPR Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic
