Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Clinical Psychologist to join our Durban team. The successful candidate will provide therapeutic services to diverse individuals, conducting comprehensive assessments and developing personalized treatment plans. This role requires empathy, clinical expertise, and a commitment to enhancing mental health in the community.

Responsibilities

• Identify client needs through comprehensive assessments.
• Implement therapy techniques suited to each individual’s needs.
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate clients and families about mental health issues.

Requirements

Education

• Doctorate in Psychology or related field
• Previous clinical experience in a mental health setting is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years clinical experience preferred

• Trauma-Informed Care

Certifications

• Registered Psychologist with HPCSA
• Specialization in Child Psychology

Languages

• Afrikaans: Intermediate
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Experience with child and adolescent therapy: Practical experience working with children and adolescents in a therapeutic context.
• Training in crisis intervention techniques: Ability to handle crisis situations effectively.
