Job Description

As a Mental Health and Substance Abuse Social Worker, you will support individuals grappling with drug abuse. Your role involves developing and implementing personalized treatment plans while providing guidance and therapy to aid recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and evaluate clients' needs and substance abuse history.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans and interventions.
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address addiction issues.
  • Facilitate educational workshops on substance abuse prevention and recovery.
  • Collaborate with other professionals for comprehensive client care.
  • Assist in accessing community resources and support networks.
  • Maintain accurate client records and adhere to confidentiality standards.
  • Develop coping strategies tailored to clients' specific challenges.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance treatment effectiveness.
  • Provide emotional support and crisis intervention as needed.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work
  • Additional certifications in addiction counseling preferred.
Experience
  • Prior experience working with individuals dealing with drug abuse and addiction.
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of addiction treatment modalities

Languages
