Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Durban. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems. You will work closely with other engineering departments to ensure that designs meet customer specifications while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed engineering drawings using CAD software.
• Perform mechanical simulations and analyses to validate designs.
• Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure accurate product specifications.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to strategic planning.
• Collaborate in the preparation and submission of proposals for new projects.
• Monitor and evaluate project progress and adjust plans as necessary.
• Conduct cost analysis on engineering projects to optimize budget efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field
• Master's degree in Engineering Management preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a mechanical engineering role

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

• Lean Six Sigma Certification

Languages
