Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and improving mechanical systems while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality products.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative mechanical designs and concepts.
• Manage project scopes and schedules, ensuring timely delivery.
• Conduct simulations and stress tests on prototypes.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers.
• Implement quality assurance procedures in design and production.
• Analyze data and provide recommendations for system improvements.
• Participate in design reviews and present findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and expectations.
• Ensure compliance with local and international engineering standards.
• Participate in training sessions and workshops to improve skills.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Master’s degree in Engineering Management preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in mechanical engineering with a focus on product development

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Prototyping

Soft Skills

• Critical Thinking

Certifications

• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Experience with advanced manufacturing processes: Hands-on experience with 3D printing and CNC machining.
• Knowledge of robotics: Understanding of robotic systems and their application in manufacturing.
