Job Description

As a Switchboard Operator, you will be the first point of contact for clients and visitors. You will manage incoming calls, direct them to the relevant departments, and assist with general inquiries. Your role is vital in maintaining the flow of communication within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Handle phone calls efficiently and ensure all messages are conveyed accurately.
  • Assist with filing and data entry tasks as needed.
  • Manage schedules for appointments and meetings.
  • Conduct follow-up calls to clients when necessary.
  • Support the team with ad-hoc administrative duties.

Requirements

Education
  • Matric certificate or equivalent
Experience
  • A minimum of one year’s experience in a client-facing role
Technical Skills
  • Microsoft Office suite proficiency
  • Email and online communication platforms
Soft Skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Friendly and approachable demeanour
