Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Actuary to enhance our team in Johannesburg. Your primary focus will be on evaluating financial risks for our range of insurance products, ensuring the company remains competitive and profitable. This position requires a strong foundation in statistical analysis and the ability to communicate complex results clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement pricing models based on statistical analysis.
• Evaluate reserve levels and ensure accurate reporting.
• Collaborate with IT departments to enhance actuarial software tools.
• Support product development initiatives through risk assessment.
• Participate in reinsurance negotiations and strategy.
• Provide strategic insights during budgeting and forecasting processes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or related field
• Master's degree or further actuarial qualifications preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in actuarial roles within the insurance industry
