Engineering Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an Engineering Technician to join our Durban team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting engineers in the design and execution of engineering projects, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design teams to create engineering plans.
• Perform technical analysis and simulations of engineering systems.
• Assist in the procurement of project materials and resources.
• Engage in continuous learning to stay updated on industry trends.
• Participate in completing safety assessments and audits.
• Maintain an accurate database of engineering designs.
• Ensure effective communication among project team members.
• Identify areas for optimization and efficiency in processes.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is an advantage

Experience

• 4+ years of relevant experience

Technical Skills

• Design Software (CATIA, ProE)
• Quality Control

• Team Collaboration
• Time Management

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of renewable energy systems: Experience in working with renewable energy technologies will be beneficial.
