We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of mechanical design principles, with experience in developing and testing mechanical systems. Responsibilities

• Create and analyze prototypes for mechanical systems.
• Work closely with clients to understand project requirements.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of mechanical equipment.
• Maintain records of engineering changes and project developments.
• Keep abreast of technological advancements in mechanical engineering.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Master's degree is beneficial

Experience

• Minimum of 4 years experience in a related mechanical engineering role

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Mechanical Design Calculations

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Certification
• Certified Lean Professional (CLP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with CAD software, such as Inventor: Hands-on experience with CAD tools for 3D modelling and design.
• Background in energy systems: Knowledge of renewable energy systems and sustainable practices.
