Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our talented team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes. You will be involved in various projects, ensuring designs meet specifications and are feasible for production.

Responsibilities

• Lead design projects from concept through to production.
• Conduct stress analysis and finite element analysis.
• Support project management and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Maintain project documentation and ensure all records are accurate.
• Implement best practices for mechanical design and engineering.
• Respond to technical inquiries and provide solutions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field
• Master's degree preferred but not required

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and analysis

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis Software
• Thermal and Fluid Dynamics

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Renewable Energy Systems: Experience working with renewable energy technologies is a plus.
