Nurse Practitioner

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care, assessing and treating patients in various healthcare settings. Your role will involve collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive optimal care.

Responsibilities

• Carry out physical assessments to diagnose patients.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Monitor patient's progress and modify treatment plans accordingly.
• Guide patients in making health-related decisions.
• Implement practice protocols to improve patient outcomes.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy in all situations.
• Conduct health promotion and education sessions.
• Assist in managing emergency responses.
• Support the onboarding and mentoring of new nursing staff.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Nursing or related field
• Specialty certification is advantageous

Experience

• Experience in acute care settings is desirable

Certifications

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Bilingual skills are an advantage: Ability to communicate in Afrikaans or another language is beneficial.
