Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Civil Rights Advocate to join our team in Pretoria. In this role, you will work tirelessly to promote equality and justice for marginalized communities through policy advocacy, public engagement, and community collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead community engagement initiatives and public awareness campaigns.
  • Advocate for policy changes through strategic lobbying efforts.
  • Gather data and testimonies from affected individuals for advocacy purposes.
  • Collaborate on projects that foster social justice and equality.
  • Organize meetings with policymakers to discuss civil rights issues.
  • Write and distribute newsletters to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Represent the organization in meetings with external agencies.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Law or Social Justice
  • Relevant additional qualifications are a plus
Experience
  • 5 years' experience in advocacy or policy development
