Pharmacist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our team in Durban. As a key member of our pharmacy, you will be responsible for overseeing the dispensing of prescriptions, advising patients on medication use, and providing pharmaceutical care to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities

• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff.
• Manage medication therapy management services.
• Conduct medication reviews and reconcile medications for patients.
• Advise on drug interactions and contraindications.
• Implement clinical guidelines and best practices in pharmacy operations.
• Assist in the development of pharmacy policies and procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Pharmacy or related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a clinical pharmacy role

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Bilingual abilities: Ability to communicate in both English and Afrikaans is a plus.
• Experience in a hospital pharmacy setting: Prior experience in a hospital environment managing patient medication management.
