Job Description

We are actively seeking experienced Explosives Workers and Blasters to join our dedicated mining team. The selected candidates will handle the preparation and detonation of explosives in a safe and controlled manner while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Carefully load and transport explosives to designated sites.
• Ensure all safety measures are followed during the blasting process.
• Document and report any incidents or near misses.
• Assist in the installation and maintenance of detonation systems.
• Participate in safety briefings and meetings.
• Actively monitor the blast area for any unsafe conditions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the explosives storage area.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
• Higher qualification in Mining or Safety Management is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in mining operations with explosives

Technical Skills

• Explosives compliance
• Risk assessment

Certifications

• Explosives Safety Certification
• Health and Safety Management Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Previous field experience in mining: Hands-on experience in mining operations, particularly in explosives management.
• Advanced First Aid Certification: Certification in advanced first aid for emergency handling.
