Responsibilities

• Assess and document patients' health status and care provided.
• Develop individualized care plans based on patient needs and assessments.
• Engage in health education sessions for patients and families.
• Support patients during procedures and provide comfort and reassurance.
• Work with medical staff to coordinate patient discharges and follow-up care.
• Implement and evaluate patient care policies and guidelines.
• Supervise and mentor junior nursing staff and support personnel.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Nursing or equivalent

Experience

• 1-2 years of clinical experience in nursing

Technical Skills

• Health Assessments
• IV Therapy

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Certifications in pediatric nursing: Additional qualifications in pediatric care will be considered an asset.
