Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Tree Trimmer to join our growing team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for pruning, trimming, and maintaining trees in a safe manner. This role requires a love for the outdoors and the ability to work at heights effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assess trees for health and structural integrity.
• Maintain equipment and tools necessary for tree care.
• Advise clients on tree management and maintenance.
• Participate in safety trainings and development opportunities.
• Report any safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
• Document job sites and client interactions effectively.

Requirements

Education

• Matric or equivalent
• Certification in arboriculture is highly advantageous

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in tree trimming or landscaping

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of Pruning Techniques
• Safety Protocols

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Problem-solving Skills

Certifications

• Chainsaw Safety Certification
• Environmental Safety Training

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic

Advantageous

• First Aid Training: Certification in first aid to ensure safety while working.
• Experience with Aerial Lifts: Practical knowledge of using aerial lifts for high tree work.
