Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg, where your expertise will contribute to designing and optimizing mechanical systems. You will work on a variety of projects, utilizing your technical skills to improve processes and ensure quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead design projects from concept to completion.
• Integrate new technologies and processes into current systems.
• Conduct site visits for inspections and assessments.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines as needed.
• Support training and development of junior engineers.
• Ensure that project objectives align with client expectations.
• Document engineering processes and modifications.
• Provide expert input on design and analysis methodologies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in relevant mechanical engineering projects

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Project Management

Certifications

• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Previous experience in automotive engineering: Experience working on automotive components and systems.
